Quick answers before you buy
The questions we get asked most, answered in one line.
Electric, dual fuel or central heating?
No plumbing = electric. On the heating but want warm towels in summer = dual fuel. Standard plumbed bathroom = central heating. What size or heat output do I need?
Add up the room's heat loss (BTU or watts), then choose a rail rated at or above it. Our calculator does it in a minute. How much does an electric towel rail cost to run?
Element wattage × hours on × your unit price. A thermostatic element cycles off once the rail is hot, so it costs less than full power. Can I fit an electric towel rail in my bathroom?
Yes. Our elements are rated IPX4–IPX6 for bathrooms, but a fused spur timer is IP20 and must go outside the bathroom. Use a qualified electrician.Real bathrooms, sent in by customers
