800mm Wide Chrome Towel Rails: Central Heating, Electric and Dual Fuel
At 800mm wide, these chrome rails give you room to hang several towels side by side instead of stacking them. The range runs from a low 400mm-high rail up to 1400mm high, so the same width works under a window or covering a full wall. Every size is mild steel with a chrome finish, BS EN 442 tested and covered by a 5-year warranty.
Check the fit before you order
- Pipe centres: 750mm on the central heating and dual fuel models. That is the width minus 50mm, so measure your existing pipework before you choose.
- Wall space: allow roughly 900mm of clear wall (rail width plus about 100mm for valves). The brackets sit about 670mm apart.
- Projection from the wall: 90 to 110mm.
Pick your fuel type
- Central heating (400 to 1400mm high): connects to your boiler or heat pump. Heat output at ΔT50 runs from 599 BTU on the 400mm-high rail to 2,137 BTU on the 1400mm-high rail. On a heat pump (ΔT30) expect around half of the ΔT50 figure.
- Electric (400 to 1200mm high): pre-filled and plug-in, with no pipework. Elements range from 150W on the smallest rail to 500W on the 1200mm-high rail. Choose the element and timer on each product page. Fused spurs must sit outside the bathroom and the connection should be made by a qualified electrician.
- Dual fuel (400 to 1400mm high): runs on your central heating in winter and an electric element in summer, so you get warm towels without firing up the boiler.
