200mm Wide White Towel Rails
Unlike a ladder-style rail, our 200mm flat white towel rail is a smooth-faced panel — there are no rungs to hang towels over the edge, so it serves a different purpose: a slim, white-finished heating element that warms towels draped length-wise against its face. It is the narrowest heated surface in our white range and is designed exclusively for micro cloakrooms, behind-door positions, under-counter corners, and alcoves too tight for anything wider. Go tall (up to 1800mm) to compensate for the limited width — a 1400×200mm panel in a 3m² cloakroom heats the room and warms hand towels without intruding into the circulation space at all.
Pipe Centre Note: When installing a 200mm wide white towel rail on central heating, your pipework should be set at 150mm centre-to-centre for straight floor-entry valves. For wall-emerging pipework, factor in angled or corner valve offsets.
Technical Specifications & Multi-ΔT Heat Output Table
All outputs are tested in accordance with BS EN 442 standards. This model uses a flat panel design — bar count and grouping do not apply.

Why Choose a 200mm Width Towel Rail?
The 200mm flat white panel exists for one reason: to fit where nothing else will. It is the answer to a cloakroom with 220mm of clearance beside the toilet, an alcove created by a boxed-in soil pipe, or a behind-door wall where a 250mm ladder rail would block the door’s travel arc.
- Ideal Room Suitability: Micro cloakrooms (1.5–3m²), behind-door positions, utility room corners, under-vanity wall sections, and any space where width is the hard constraint and height is flexible.
- Towel Drying Capacity & Ergonomics: This is a panel warmer, not a high-capacity towel drier. Hand towels should be draped vertically against the flat face. For year-round warmth when the boiler is off, add a Dual Fuel Element.
- Installation & Wall Space Considerations: Allow a minimum of 260mm clear wall space — the 200mm body plus approximately 30mm either side for compression valve connections. The 150mm pipe centre is unusually narrow; confirm your rough-in position before ordering.
Explore Alternative Sizes & Finishes
- Adjacent Width: Step up to 250mm Wide White Towel Rails for the narrowest full-rung ladder style in white.
- Alternative Finishes in 200mm: 200mm Chrome.
Key Installation & Accessory Compatibility
- Pipe Centre Alignment: Fixed at 150mm across all heights in this width range.
- Required Valve Hardware: Pair your rail with our Chrome Radiator Valves — select straight valves for floor pipework or angled/corner valves for wall pipework.
- Dual Fuel Conversion: To operate your towel rail in summer when central heating is off, install a Dual Fuel Kit and electric Heating Element.
Delta T (ΔT) Thermal Output Calculations
- ΔT50°C Standard (Boilers): UK baseline (BS EN 442) — 75°C flow, 65°C return, 20°C ambient.
- ΔT30°C Low-Temperature (Heat Pumps): Multiply ΔT50 by 0.515 for systems operating around 45°C–50°C.
- ΔT60°C High-Temperature (Legacy Systems): Multiply ΔT50 by 1.268 for older systems at ~80°C flow.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What is the pipe centre measurement for a 200mm white towel rail?
A: The standard pipe centre for a 200mm wide white towel rail is 150mm, leaving 25mm clearance on each side for valve connections.
Q: Does a flat 200mm white panel dry towels as effectively as a ladder-style rail?
A: The flat panel surface warms towels well but drying performance is lower than a ladder rail because there are no rungs to promote airflow. Towels should be draped vertically against the face or folded in thirds. For year-round use, fit a dual-fuel element.
Q: What is the minimum wall width needed to install a 200mm white towel rail?
A: Allow at least 260mm of clear wall space — 200mm for the body plus approximately 30mm each side for valve connection points. The 150mm pipe centre should be confirmed against your rough-in before ordering.
