Central heating. Heat pump ready. Vertical designer aluminium.
Product Overview & Key Specs
The Reina Picoli is a narrow vertical designer aluminium central heating radiator - just 280mm wide, in two heights (1500mm and 1800mm), in White, Black or Anthracite. Its curved flat-panel front gives it a clean architectural line, and being aluminium it responds fast and runs efficiently at the lower flow temperatures heat pumps use.

Why Aluminium for Central Heating?
Three practical reasons aluminium outperforms steel for modern heating systems.
Heat pump readyLow temp ✔
Aluminium delivers excellent heat output at lower flow temperatures — well suited to air-source and ground-source heat-pump systems.
Fast responseSmart controls ✔
Aluminium heats up quickly and responds rapidly to thermostats, timers and smart heating controls, so no energy is wasted.
Space saving280mm wide
A narrow vertical footprint that suits hallways, kitchens and bathrooms. Install in a clean, correctly treated central-heating system for optimum life.

Heat Output by Size & System
Calculated to EN 442. ΔT60 = high-temp boilers (80°C flow). ΔT50 = standard gas boiler (75/65°C). ΔT30 = heat pump (50/40°C). All at 280mm width.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q.
Is the Reina Picoli compatible with a heat pump?
A. Yes. The Picoli is aluminium, which delivers excellent heat output at the low water temperatures (40-50 degrees C) used by heat pumps. Use the Delta T30 column in our heat output table for accurate figures.
Q.
What valves do I need for the Picoli?
A. The Picoli has standard 1/2 inch BSP connections with 140mm pipe centres. We recommend thermostatic radiator valves (TRVs) for individual room control.
Q.
What are the pipe centres on the Picoli?
A. Pipe centres are 140mm on both the 1500mm and 1800mm heights. Wall to pipe centres is 69-84mm. Allow extra for your chosen valve set when measuring.
Q.
Which size Picoli do I need?
A. Use the room fit calculator on this page. Enter your room dimensions and heating system type - the calculator shows whether the radiator will meet your heat loss. As a guide, allow around 100 BTU per cubic metre for a modern well-insulated UK room.
Q.
What finishes is the Picoli available in?
A. White, Black and Anthracite, across both heights (1500mm and 1800mm). All three share the same aluminium construction and heat output.
Q.
Why choose an aluminium radiator for central heating?
A. Aluminium heats up 5 to 10 times faster than steel or cast iron, responds quickly to thermostat changes, and works efficiently at the lower flow temperatures that heat pumps and modern condensing boilers use.
Q.
Can the Picoli be fitted in a bathroom or hallway?
A. Yes. At 280mm wide the Picoli is a narrow vertical radiator, which makes it well suited to hallways, kitchens and bathrooms where wall space is tight. It is a central-heating radiator and connects to your existing system.
