We offer a variety of radiators, including electric, central heating and designer models to suit diverse preferences and heating requirements.
Some of our radiator models come equipped with smart features, including Wi-Fi controls, allowing for convenient remote operation and integration with smart home systems.
BTU (British Thermal Unit) measures heat output. The higher the BTU rating, the more heat a radiator will produce. Choosing the right BTU ensures efficient heating for your space.
We offer our electric towel radiator range pre-filled with choice of element.
Element doesn't come installed on the towel rail, this is for avoiding any transit damage. You can install the element into the left or right hand side at the bottom.
We fill our electric towel rail radiators with minimum 85% Filtered RO Water (Reverse Osmosis) and inhibitor (Ethylene Glycol) mixture. We leave air gap for expansion and must bleed on the first heat after installation.
Sure you can. Our towel rails has a standard 1/2" BSP thread.
No, as heat rises, element must be installed at the bottom of the towel rail. Element must be immersed into the filling medium.
If you will need any further information regarding our Pre-Filled electric towel rail radiators please contact us via Elegant-Radiators contact page or online chat at the bottom right corner of this page.
Sure you can. This towel rail and other LADDER TYPE TOWEL RAILS can be used as Dual Fuel. You need additional parts like HEATING ELEMENT + T-PIECE or DUAL FUEL CORNER VALVE. If you need any assistance please do not hesitate to contact us for friendly advice.
Our Towel Rails go through several quality checks. One of the checks is a 10 bar pressure test. Normal central heating systems typically operate at 1.5–2.5 bar. We recommend using your towel rail at a maximum of 5 bar pressure.
Pipe centres are very important if you are replacing your existing radiator or towel rail with a new one. If you do not wish to amend your pipes, measure your existing pipe centre and choose a replacement with the same or closest possible pipe centre. Please contact us if you are not sure — we will be happy to assist.
Towel rails heat using the same principle as panel radiators. Heat output depends on surface area — panel radiators usually have more surface area due to built-in convector fins. Additionally, towels draped on the rail will absorb some heat that would otherwise go into the room.
Use a damp cloth followed by a dry microfibre cloth to polish. For stubborn marks, use 1 part distilled vinegar + 1 part warm water. Avoid abrasive cloths and chemical cleaners such as oven or bathroom cleaners — these can mark or corrode the chrome plating.
All our Elegant towel radiators are tested to run continuously. Electric models with thermostatic elements stop drawing electricity once they reach the desired temperature and restart when the temperature drops below the target. We also offer timer-controlled fused spurs — you can boost for 1–5 hours or program 7-day schedules, with one model controllable via Wi-Fi.
Central heating towel rails are plumbed into the boiler. Hot water circulated through pipes heats the rail, just like a normal convector radiator.
Electric towel rails are pre-filled with RO water and inhibitor, with an air gap for expansion. The heating element heats the filling medium, which then circulates through the rail by convection.
Dual fuel rails can use either method. In summer (electric mode), one valve must be closed to prevent heat dissipating through your central heating pipes.
Towel radiators are primarily designed for drying and warming towels, but they can contribute warmth to the room too. Use our BTU calculator to find out what BTU-rated radiator or heater your room needs.

BTU stands for British Thermal Unit — it is the standard energy (heat) measurement unit used in the UK heating industry. We also provide heat output in Watts. Use our BTU calculator to find the right radiator for your room.
