Which Valve Type Do You Need?
- Manual Valves — For towel rails. Simple on/off control. Recommended because towel rails should run at full temperature for effective towel drying.
- Thermostatic (TRV) Valves — For designer radiators, column radiators, and panel radiators. Automatically regulate room temperature, reducing energy bills by up to 30%.
- Dual Fuel Valves — Corner dual fuel valves include an integrated T-piece for electric element connection. Keep your existing pipe centres when converting to dual fuel.
Angled vs Straight vs Corner
- Angled — For pipes coming from the wall (most common in UK bathrooms)
- Straight — For pipes coming from the floor (bottom inlet towel rails only)
- Corner — For wall pipes when you need to maintain existing pipe centres
