Reina Diva chrome mild steel towel rail - room setting
Central heating. Mild steel. Chrome ladder towel rail, straight or curved.

Product Overview & Key Specs

The Reina Diva is a mild steel ladder towel rail in polished chrome. Choose straight 25mm tubes for a clean flat face, or the curved version with the same tubes bowed outwards for a little more room between them for towels. Both give identical heat output - the flat rail simply adds four narrower 300mm-wide sizes. The thick steel body holds its heat after the boiler switches off, so towels stay warm between cycles.

Why Mild Steel for a Towel Rail?

Three practical reasons a steel ladder rail suits a modern central heating system.
Robust buildHard-wearing ✔
Thick-wall 25mm steel tubes with a polished chrome finish. A ladder rail takes knocks and keeps its looks in a busy bathroom.
Holds its heatWarm towels ✔
Steel retains heat after the boiler switches off, so towels stay warm and the room temperature stays steady between cycles.
Straight or curvedYour choice
Same rail, same brackets, same pipe centres. Flat tubes for a clean face, or curved tubes for extra towel space.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q.

What is the difference between the Diva flat and curved?

A. Flat rails have straight 25mm horizontal tubes running across the front. The curved version uses the same 25mm tubes but bows them outwards, giving a little more space between them for towels. Both use the same brackets and the same pipe centres for a given size, and both give the same heat output.

Q.

Do the flat and curved versions have the same heat output?

A. Yes - figure for figure identical on every size they share. The real difference is size coverage: the flat/straight rail is also made in four narrower 300mm-wide sizes (600, 800, 1200 and 1600mm high), which the curved rail is not. Use the shape selector above the table to see each list.
Technical team · Elegant Radiators
Q.

Is the Reina Diva compatible with a heat pump?

A. It is rated at Delta T30, so it will work on a heat pump system - use the Delta T30 column in our heat output table for accurate figures. Steel warms up more slowly than aluminium, so on a low-flow-temperature system it will take a little longer to reach temperature.

Q.

What valves do I need for the Diva?

A. The Diva takes standard 1/2 inch BSP valves. We recommend thermostatic radiator valves (TRVs) for individual room control - one TRV and one lockshield valve is the usual pairing for a towel rail.
Technical team · Elegant Radiators
Q.

What are the pipe centres on the Diva?

A. Pipe centres are 40mm less than the rail width - 260mm on the 300mm wide, 360mm on the 400mm wide, 410mm on the 450mm wide, 460mm on the 500mm wide, 560mm on the 600mm wide, 710mm on the 750mm wide. Wall to pipe centres is 70-85mm and the wall distance 85-100mm depending on how the brackets are set.
Technical team · Elegant Radiators
Q.

How do I look after a chrome towel rail?

A. Wipe chrome with a soft damp cloth and dry it off - never use abrasive pads or chemical cleaners, as they scratch the plating. Try not to leave wet towels against the rail for long periods if you want the finish to stay bright.
Technical team · Elegant Radiators
Q.

Can the Diva be used as an electric or dual fuel towel rail?

A. Yes on every size up to 1600mm high - the datasheet lists central heating, electric and dual fuel for those. The 1800mm-high sizes are marked central heating only. Contact our team and we will confirm the correct element for your size.
Technical team · Elegant Radiators
Q.

Why choose a mild steel towel rail?

A. Steel is robust, takes a hard-wearing finish and holds its heat after the boiler switches off, so towels stay warm between cycles. A ladder profile puts a lot of heated surface into a small footprint.
