The ER-Touch Thermostatic Heating Element is a simple, reliable element for dual fuel and liquid-filled electric towel rails. Choose one of five temperatures from 45°C to 65°C, or use the built-in BOOST mode to heat at 65°C for 1 to 5 hours and switch off automatically. To automate it, add our digital timer or WiFi timer: the element remembers its state when the power comes back on. Available in 150W, 300W, 600W and 900W, in chrome, white, black or anthracite. The temperature you set is the temperature of the radiator, not of the room.

Automate It With a Timer
The BOOST timer is built in, so you don't need a Booster timer. To switch the element on and off automatically, add one of these. The element remembers its state when the power comes back on.
Choosing the Right Wattage
The output of the element must not exceed the rated output of your radiator. Check the radiator manufacturer's specification, then pick 150W, 300W, 600W or 900W. This element is for dual fuel and liquid-filled electric installations only and must never be dry fitted. If you are not sure which wattage suits your towel rail, contact our team before you buy.

What temperature settings does the ER-Touch have?
A. Five settings, shown by red LEDs: 45, 50, 55, 60 and 65°C. The default is 65°C. Press the button to step up through the settings and it returns to 45°C after 65°C.

Can I automate the ER-Touch with a timer?
A. Yes. We recommend our digital timer or WiFi timer, and it also works with other external timers. The element remembers its state, so when the timer switches the power back on it carries on as before. You do not need a Booster timer, because a BOOST timer is already built into the element's own controller.
Q.
How does BOOST mode work?
A. BOOST heats at a fixed 65°C for 1 to 5 hours, set in 1-hour steps with the blue LEDs. The default is 2 hours and the element switches off automatically when the time ends.
Q.
What do the red and blue lights mean?
A. A red light at the power button means the element is heating. A blue light means it is switched on but not currently heating.
Q.
What does it mean when all the lights are on?
A. All blue and red lights lit together is the error display. It appears when the detected temperature is below -10°C or above 85°C. Switch off at the isolator and have a qualified electrician check the element.

Does the element sense the room temperature?
A. No. The temperature you choose (45–65°C) is the temperature of the radiator, not of the room. Pick a temperature or BOOST time to suit your space.

Does it need a qualified electrician?
A. Yes. It must be installed by a certified installer, connected to a fused spur, and follow local electrical safety standards including the bathroom zone regulations.

Can I run it when the radiator is empty?
A. No. Never switch the element on or test it unless it is installed in a radiator filled with heating medium. In electric radiators keep an air gap, and in central heating systems keep a valve open so pressure cannot build up.

Which wattage should I choose?
A. The element's output must not exceed the rated output of the radiator, so check the radiator manufacturer's specification before choosing 150W, 300W, 600W or 900W. Contact us if you are unsure.

Can I use it in a dry electric radiator?
A. No. It is suitable for dual fuel and liquid-filled electric towel rails only and must be submerged in the heating medium.
