The Reina Velino is a clean-lined dry electric towel rail engineered in stainless steel. Two heights — 800mm and 1200mm — give you the choice between a compact ensuite option at 105W and a full-bathroom version at 170W. Dry element technology means no water inside the rail: no corrosion, no limescale, no bleeding, ever. The built-in LED thermostat with countdown timer is flush-mounted into the top bar.

The Velino uses a dry heating element — no water inside the rail. Here is what that means in practice.

No water means no limescale, no inhibitors, no bleeding, and no corrosion — ever. The stainless steel body handles steam-heavy bathrooms without any maintenance.
Instant heat-up No water mass
No water to warm through. The dry element responds to the thermostat almost immediately — operating temperature in minutes, not 20–30 minutes like a pre-filled rail.
Install anywhere No pipework needed
No plumber, no central heating, no existing pipework required. A dedicated fused spur is all it needs — suitable for any room in any property.

Which size should I choose — 800mm or 1200mm?
A. If your bathroom is a small ensuite or cloakroom (under roughly 4 m²), the 800mm at 105W will comfortably warm towels and take the chill off. For a full family bathroom where you want meaningful background warmth alongside towel drying, the 1200mm at 170W is the better choice. Both are 500mm wide so the footprint decision is purely about height and heat output.

Is it plug-in or does it need a qualified electrician?
A. Hardwired only — not a plug-in rail. A qualified electrician must connect it to a dedicated fused spur. In England and Wales, a new bathroom circuit falls under Part P of Building Regulations and must be completed or certified by a registered competent person. No plumber required.

How does the built-in timer work?
A. Countdown timer, not a weekly scheduler. Press to select 1–8 hours; the rail switches off automatically when the period ends. Press again after 8 hours for continuous mode. For a fixed morning start time, an electrician can fit a separate compliant timer switch on the fused spur circuit.

What is the difference between dry electric and a pre-filled rail?
A. A pre-filled rail contains water and glycol — the element heats the liquid, which heats the rail body. A dry electric rail like the Velino has no water inside: the element heats the stainless body directly. The result is faster heat-up, zero corrosion risk, no limescale, and you never need to bleed the rail.

Can it run in summer with the central heating off?
A. Yes — entirely independent of your boiler. Switch it on whenever you want warm towels, regardless of the season. No minimum system pressure, no seasonal shutdown, no waiting for the heating to come on.

Will the cable be visible after installation?
A. Not with the concealed wiring method — both concealed and surface-mount wiring options are provided. The cable threads into the wall and decorative caps cover all fixings, leaving a clean floating installation with no visible hardware or cable.
