Frequently Asked Questions
Q.
Is the Reina Savio compatible with a heat pump?
A. Reina publish a Delta T30 output for every Savio size, so it can be used on a heat pump system - use the Delta T30 column in our heat output table for accurate figures. Size the rail against that column rather than the gas boiler figures.
Q.
Can the Savio be used as an electric or dual fuel towel rail?
A. Yes - Reina list the Savio for central heating, electric and dual fuel. For electric or dual fuel use you need a compatible heating element, so please contact our team to confirm the right kit for your size before ordering.
Q.
What valves do I need for the Savio?
A. The Savio has 1/2 inch BSP female inlet and outlet connections. Radiator valves are not supplied, so contact our team if you would like help choosing a pair that suits your pipework.
Q.
What are the pipe centres and wall distances on the Savio?
A. Pipe centres are 470mm on every size. Wall to pipe centres is 50 to 60mm, and the rail stands 67 to 77mm off the wall.
Q.
Which size Savio do I need?
A. Use the room fit calculator on this page. Enter your room dimensions and heating system type and it shows which Savio size meets your heat loss. All three sizes are 500mm wide, so the choice is height: 800, 1080 or 1360mm.
Q.
What finish is the Savio available in?
A. Polished stainless steel, in all three sizes. Every size has the same construction and finish.
Q.
Is stainless steel a good choice for a bathroom towel rail?
A. Stainless steel resists corrosion, so it suits bathrooms and other humid rooms, and the Savio carries a 25-year Reina guarantee.
Q.
How much water does the Savio hold?
A. From about 1.5 litres in the 800mm size up to about 2.6 litres in the 1360mm size, so it fills and heats up quickly.
