The Reina Loco Vertical Double is a tall, space-saving designer aluminium radiator — a fixed 1800mm height with five widths from 280mm to 660mm, double panel throughout, in White or Anthracite. The double-panel build gives a higher heat output per width while the upright profile frees up wall space, and aluminium's fast response keeps it equally effective on gas boilers and low-temperature heat pump systems.

Is the Loco Vertical Double compatible with a heat pump?
A. Yes. Aluminium delivers strong heat output at the lower flow temperatures (40–50°C) that heat pumps run at. Use the ΔT30 column in the heat output table for accurate figures.

Why is the Loco double panel only?
A. The Loco range is built as a double-panel design only. That gives a higher heat output for a given width, which suits larger rooms and tall wall spaces.

What are the pipe centres?
A. Pipe centres equal the radiator width (280mm to 660mm). Add 90mm for the valve set when measuring for installation.

Which size do I need?
A. Use the room fit calculator above. As a rule of thumb, allow 100 BTU per m³ for a modern well-insulated UK room, then choose the smallest width that exceeds that figure at your system's ΔT.

Can I replace my existing radiator?
A. Yes, if pipe positions align. Measure your existing pipe centres and match to one of the five Loco Vertical widths. Standard 1/2" BSP connections fit all UK central heating systems.

Why aluminium over steel?
A. Aluminium heats and cools 5–10× faster than steel. Better for TRV-controlled zones, weather compensation, and any system where you want quick response and minimal wasted heat.
