A. Hardwired only. A qualified electrician must connect it to a dedicated fused spur. In England and Wales, a new bathroom circuit falls under Part P of Building Regulations. No plumber required.

A. The built-in timer has 2-hour, 4-hour, and 24-hour modes. Press to select your preferred duration — the rail switches off automatically when the period ends. For a fixed daily start time, a qualified electrician can fit a separate timer switch on the fused spur circuit.

A. The Matt Black Ines (DE-INS1502K) uses a 40W element vs 35W for the other three finishes. The difference is negligible in practice — both are exceptionally low-energy given the single-pole format. Dimensions and installation are identical across all finishes.

A. Yes — entirely independent of your boiler. No water inside, no minimum system pressure, no seasonal shutdown. Switch it on whenever you want warm towels, regardless of season.

Will it provide enough heat for a full bathroom?
A. At 35–40W, the Ines is designed primarily as a towel warmer rather than a room heater. It will keep towels warm and add background warmth in a small well-insulated cloakroom, but for a full bathroom we recommend pairing it with a dedicated radiator or using one of our higher-output electric rails as the primary heat source.

A. A pre-filled rail contains water and glycol — the element heats the liquid which heats the body. A dry electric rail like the Ines has no water inside: the element heats the stainless pole directly. Faster heat-up, zero corrosion risk, no limescale, and you never need to bleed it.
