What does the anti-scald function do?
A. The anti-scald function caps the surface temperature so it cannot become dangerously hot to touch — important in bathrooms used by children or elderly users. It operates automatically and does not need to be turned on separately.

Which size Gia do I need?
A. The 780mm (500W) suits smaller bathrooms up to around 6m² as a primary heat source, or larger spaces as a supplementary towel warmer. The 1120mm (750W) suits bathrooms up to around 9m². Use our BTU calculator for a precise recommendation based on your room’s dimensions and insulation.

Can it run in summer with the central heating off?
A. Yes — entirely independent of your boiler. Switch it on via the panel, the app, or voice assistant whenever you want warm towels, regardless of season. No minimum system pressure, no seasonal shutdown.

Is aluminium as durable as steel in a bathroom?
A. Aluminium is naturally corrosion-resistant in humid environments — it does not rust. It is also significantly lighter than steel at equivalent sizes, making wall fixing easier. The Gia is covered by a 2-year manufacturer warranty. Clean with a soft damp cloth — avoid abrasive pads and acidic cleaners.

What does dry electric mean — is it different from a pre-filled rail?
A. A pre-filled rail contains water and glycol — the element heats the liquid which heats the body. A dry electric rail like the Gia has no water inside: the element heats the aluminium body directly. Faster heat-up, zero corrosion risk, no limescale, and you never need to bleed it.
