Frequently Asked Questions
Q.
Is the Reina Nola compatible with a heat pump?
A. Reina publish a Delta T30 output for the Nola (1,047 BTU / 307W), so it can be used on a heat pump system. Use the Delta T30 column in our heat output table and size the radiator against that figure rather than the gas boiler figures.
Q.
Can the Nola be used as an electric or dual fuel radiator?
A. Reina list the Nola for central heating, electric and dual fuel. This page is for the central heating radiator. Contact our team if you would like to run it on electric or dual fuel and we will advise on the electric element kit for this radiator.
Q.
What valves do I need for the Nola?
A. Radiator valves are not supplied, so you need a lockshield valve and a manual or thermostatic valve. The connections are G1/2 threads and the pipe centres are 110mm. Contact our team if you would like help choosing a pair that suits your pipework.
Q.
What are the pipe centres and wall distances on the Nola?
A. The Nola is 1400mm high and 600mm wide with 25 horizontal bars. Pipe centres are 110mm, wall to pipe centres is 64 to 79mm and the distance from the wall is 136 to 151mm. Leave at least 50mm below any overhanging surface such as a shelf, and mount it no lower than 100mm from the floor.
Q.
Which size Nola do I need?
A. The Nola comes in one size, 1400 x 600mm, in chrome. At Delta T50 it gives 2,023 BTU (593W). Use the room fit calculator on this page to see whether it meets your room's heat loss, or contact our team for advice on your room.
Q.
Can I hang towels on the Nola?
A. Reina sell the Nola as a towel radiator, with 25 horizontal bars. Towels draped over the bars cover part of the surface and reduce the heat released into the room while they dry, so allow some headroom when sizing, particularly in a bathroom.
Q.
What is the maximum working temperature and pressure?
A. Reina's installation guide gives a maximum working temperature of 95 degrees C and a maximum working pressure of 4 bar. If you are unsure whether your system stays within those limits, ask your installer before ordering.
Q.
What is included in the box and who should fit it?
A. The Nola comes with four wall brackets, four wall anchors, four fixing screws, four security screws, four washers, an air vent and an end plug. Radiator valves are not included. Reina state it must be fitted by a fully qualified installer, and that it should be cleaned with a soft cloth and never climbed on.
