Frequently Asked Questions
Q.
Is the Reina Nardo compatible with a heat pump?
A. Reina publish a Delta T30 output for every Nardo size, so it can be used on a heat pump system - use the Delta T30 column in our heat output table for accurate figures. Size the rail against that column rather than the gas boiler figures.
Q.
Can the Nardo be used as an electric or dual fuel towel rail?
A. Yes - Reina list the Nardo for central heating, electric and dual fuel. For electric or dual fuel use you need a compatible heating element, so please contact our team to confirm the right kit for your size before ordering.
Q.
What valves do I need for the Nardo?
A. Radiator valves are not supplied with the Nardo, so you need a lockshield valve and a manual or thermostatic valve. Contact our team if you would like help choosing a pair that suits your pipework.
Q.
What are the pipe centres and wall distances on the Nardo?
A. Pipe centres are 418mm on the 450mm wide sizes and 518mm on the 550mm wide sizes. Wall to pipe centres is 61 to 76mm, and the rail projects 77 to 92mm from the wall on every size.
Q.
Which size Nardo do I need?
A. The Nardo comes in four sizes - 813 or 1200mm high, in 450 or 550mm widths. Use the room fit calculator on this page to see which size meets your room's heat loss, or contact our team for advice.
Q.
What is the maximum working temperature and pressure?
A. Reina's installation guide gives a maximum working temperature of 95 degrees C and a maximum working pressure of 4 bar. If you are unsure whether your system stays within those limits, ask your installer before ordering.
Q.
What is included in the box and who should fit it?
A. The Nardo comes with four wall brackets, wall anchors, fixing screws, washers and security screws. Radiator valves are not included. Reina state it must be fitted by a fully qualified installer.
Q.
Is chrome a good finish for a bathroom towel rail?
A. Chrome resists corrosion and wipes clean easily, so it suits bathrooms and other humid rooms, and the Nardo carries a 5-year Reina guarantee.
