Is the Caldaro Horizontal compatible with a heat pump?
A. Yes. Aluminium delivers strong heat output at the lower flow temperatures (40–50°C) that heat pumps run at. Use the ΔT30 column in the heat output table for accurate figures.

What valves do I need?
A. TRV recommended for individual room control. Angled valves for floor or wall pipes; corner valves for wall-surface pipes only. A valve set adds 90mm total (45mm per side) to the pipe centre distance.

What are the pipe centres?
A. Pipe centres = radiator width + 90mm. Example: 870mm model = ~960mm pipe centres. Each valve adds 45mm (90mm for the set). Measure before cutting or routing pipes.

Which size do I need?
A. Use the room fit calculator above. As a rule of thumb, allow 100 BTU per m³ for a modern well-insulated UK room, then choose the smallest size that exceeds that figure at your system's ΔT.

Can I replace my existing radiator?
A. Yes, if pipe positions align. Measure existing pipe centres, subtract 90mm to find the radiator width you need, then match to one of the four Caldaro Horizontal sizes. Standard 1/2" BSP connections.

Why aluminium over steel?
A. Aluminium heats and cools 5–10× faster than steel. Better for TRV-controlled zones, weather compensation, and any system where you want quick response and minimal wasted heat.

What finishes are available?
A. White and Anthracite across all four widths. Both share the same aluminium body and heat output — the choice is purely aesthetic.
