Works With These Elements
The ER-Touch element has a BOOST timer built in, so no Booster controller is needed.
This timer is designed for the Single Heat element and the ER-Touch thermostatic element. An external timer needs a towel rail that restarts heating when the power returns: switch the rail on, switch its fused spur off for 10 to 15 seconds, then back on. If it carries on from where it left off, you are good to go.
Where to Fit It
The WiFi timer replaces a standard fused connection unit in a 1 gang back box at least 25mm deep. The supply connects to L IN (brown/red) and N IN (blue/black), and the towel rail to L OUT and N OUT. It can be connected to a ring main and accepts 2 x 2.5mm conductors per terminal. Metal back boxes must be earthed. Fused spurs are ideally fitted outside the bathroom. Which heating elements does it work with?
A. It is designed for the Single Heat element and the ER-Touch thermostatic element. To check any other element, turn the rail on, switch its fused spur off for 10 to 15 seconds and back on. If it carries on heating from where it left off, an external timer will work.

Do I need a Booster controller as well?
A. No. The ER-Touch thermostatic element has a BOOST timer built in, and the Tuya Smart app has a countdown timer for extra heat. A separate Booster controller is not needed.

How do I connect it to my WiFi?
A. Download the Tuya Smart app and register, then power up the timer close to your router. Press and hold the round button for 5 seconds until the WiFi indicator blinks rapidly, then complete pairing in the app within 3 minutes by entering your WiFi password. The timer works with 2.4GHz WiFi.

A. Yes. Once connected, the app can programme and control the timer from anywhere via the internet.

How do I set a heating schedule?
A. In the app, tap the timer button and press Add. Set the ON time, choose whether it repeats daily or on selected days, then add an OFF time the same way. Add more schedules for weekday or weekend operation. There is also a countdown timer: choose the hours and minutes and it counts down.

Can I still switch it on without my phone?
A. Yes. The round button on the front switches the output on or off, and the double-pole switch on the unit isolates the load.

What is the waterproof casing option?
A. The "Timer With WaterProof Casing" variant is the same WiFi timer supplied with an IP66 waterproof casing. Fused spurs are best fitted outside the bathroom. Contact us if you are unsure which suits your installation.
